Meet Talia

Talia Silver, MS OTR/L is a pediatric Occupational Therapist licensed in New York State who holds a bachelors in Science degree in Applied Psychology and a Master of science degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with children for over ten years. Talia began her OT career at a pediatric sensory gym and then provided school based services in a special education school for kids with language based learning disabilities.  She now runs a Westchester based private practice serving children across a variety of settings including home based, school based, and in the general community. Her services include direct therapy, social skills and emotional regulation groups, and consultations for both pre-schools and parents. 

Talia is passionate about early childhood development and education, as well as collaborating with families and other team members to help each child maximize their growth and independence. She also is continually seeking out opportunities for professional development and to learn from others and incorporate those new skills into her practice. Talia has experience working with children of all ages to improve skills such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual motor and visual processing. She uses an individualized approach rooted in development and focusing on each Child’s unique strengths and interests. She is certified in a variety of intervention and treatment techniques including; TCIT training, Learning Without Tears (including Handwriting without tears), Size Matters Handwriting Program, School moves, and DIR Floortime. 

Talia is also a mother of 3 young children which fuels her desire to provide clear and accessible family education that compliments the family’s busy dynamics to help with carry over of skills being addressed in therapy as well as to assist the family with any challenges impacting their day to day function.
